| TRIP TO HAAPSALU AND THE WEST- ESTONIAN ISLANDS |

At the beginning of the trip we acquaint with Läänemaa’s romantic seaside resort Haapsalu and its attractions. Included in the town tour is a visit to the artist Ants Laikmaa Museum. From Haapsalu we take trips to the second biggest island of Estonia - Hiiumaa. And to the island Vormsi, once inhabited by the estonian swedes. |

Day 1.
After arrival we start our journey to Haapsalu (approx.100 km). On the way we stop at the artist Ants Laikmaa Museum. After checking into hotel we take a tour in Haapsalu, visiting such attractions as the Episcopal Castle (1279) and the Dome Church and a former Soviet Military air-field. After the tour there is the possibility to explore the town on your own. We dine together.
Day 2.
After breakfast we travel to Rohuküla harbour and board the ferry. The voyage to Hiiumaa takes one and a half hours. On Hiiumaa we visit such places as Kõpu Lighthouse, Suuremõisa Manor and Kärdla - the capital town of Hiiumaa. We have lunch together and travel back to Haapsalu.
Day 3.
After breakfast we travel to the small island Vormsi, where we acquaint during the round trip with the island’s swedish history. We visit the church and the churchyard with the unique collection of circular crosses. We have lunch in a farmyard. Once back in Haapsalu you have some free time.
Day 4.
We return to Tallinn in the morning. After the city tour you have some free time to explore Tallinn by yourself. |
